Not only does everyone need to eat, but some of us absolutely love to eat produce we’ve grown ourselves. There is nothing nicer than sitting down to the table when all the fruits and vegetables were grown in your very own garden. Here, at Carpenter’s Nursery and Farm Shop, we can help you find the very best vegetable and fruit plants for your garden or allotment. Whether you are gardening in a traditional garden or simply planting an assortment of edibles on your patio in containers or growbags, we can help you determine which suit you best in terms of space and layout.
What You Don’t Know We Can Teach You
It takes a special bit of knowledge to start plants from seeds as each species requires variable needs in light, moisture and even acidity in the soil. Having facilities to help nurture seedlings such as a greenhouse and heated benches etc also helps. At Carpenter’s we’ve been commercially growing vegetables for almost 100 years now, so you can be assured that our plants are the most hardy and healthiest in the area.
We offer a wide variety of hybrid vegetable plants from beans to peppers, tomatoes, courgette as well as winter crops and herbs. We also stock seed potatoes, onion sets and fruit trees.
Vegetables to Grace Your Table
Why would you pay exorbitant amounts of money for freshly grown organic vegetables and soft fruits like strawberries, raspberries, rhubarb, blackcurrants or even gooseberries when you can pick them fresh from your garden? Grow them in containers, growbags or place them directly in the ground, it’s up to you. Whichever method you choose we have the equipment and products you need to be a successful food grower.
